Hopedale Medical Foundation Seeking Scholarship Applications  

Hopedale Medical Foundation is again accepting applications from high school seniors and college freshmen for its Spring, 2008 Scholarship Awards. The Foundation has awarded over $350,000 in scholarships to area students since 1980.

High School Seniors and College Freshmen from the following school districts are eligible: Olympia, Tremont, Delavan, Hartsburg/Emden, Deer Creek/Mackinaw, Midwest Central and Illini Central. Applications may be picked up at your high school counselors’ office or at HMC Administration building located at 107 Tremont Street in Hopedale.

The application deadline is Friday, 5:00 p.m., March 28, 2008.

Scholarships are divided into three groups:

• Two (2) Health Care Scholarships of $2,000; One (1) at $3,000 and Two (2) at $1,000 each.

All healthcare fields of study are eligible.

• Family Farm Scholarship - $4,000

Students entering the Agricultural Field are eligible.

• Founder’s Scholarship –$5,000

Any field of study related to Healthcare

Applications are judged by an independent panel of judges who will review:

• ACT/SAT Scores Financial Need (OPTIONAL)
• Class Standing Counselor’s Recommendation
• Applicant’s Narrative Other Favorable Recommendations
• Community/Extra-curricular Involvement

Winners will be announced the week of April 30, 2008.
