Hopedale Hosptial Receives $30,000 Donation For Lifesaving Equipment Hopedale, IL – (February 27, 2008) Ramona Eidenmiller, a former resident of Hopedale, recently made a generous $30,000 cash donation to the Hopedale Medical foundation for the purchase of a portable ultrasound machine to be used in HMC’s diagnostics department. The donation of this lifesaving diagnostic equipment was made in honor of Romana’s late husband, Robert, who died 10 years ago of sudden heart failure.
This new equipment comes at a perfect time, as the Foundation is beginning a new hospital which is to start construction perhaps as early as next summer. A formal endowment campaign will start later this summer. All donations to the Hopedale Medical Foundation are tax deductible. Alan Ferguson, Director of the HMC vascular lab, states that the new SonoSite portable bedside ultrasound machine gives state-of-the-art, high speed, razor sharp images for the physicians.
