About Miss Mona's

Miss Mona's Child Care Center opened its doors on July 6, 1999. Since then it has gained a top-notch reputation. Hopedale Medical Complex is proud to offer the community an outstanding child care and preschool facility.

Conveniently located on the campus of the Hopedale Medical Complex, Miss Mona's is open to both employees and to residents of surrounding communities.

Who is Miss Mona?

The center is named after a legend in the community, Mona Naffziger, who left a cash bequest to the Complex. Miss Mona was a teacher for a number of years here in Hopedale and lived across the street with her sister until she moved into the Nursing Home. Miss Mona taught thousands of children who today can still remember her warm smile.

Our Philosophy…

We are dedicated to the “Children First!” philosophy.  We have implemented a family approach to care by providing a warm and caring experience for all.  We incorporate numerous activities which nurture the children mentally, physically and emotionally.

General Child Care Information:

• Beautiful new expanded facility with capacity of over 100 children

• Hours of operation 5:30 am to 5:30 pm
• Full-time and part-time enrollment
• Licensed through the Illinois Department of Child and Family Services
• All staff CPR and First-Aid certified

• Spring and Christmas Program for family and friends
• Computers in classrooms for ages 3 and up

• Toddlers (15 mos. To 2 yrs) - $168/$36 daily
• 2 - 3 Year Olds-$159/$34 daily
• 4 - 5 Year Olds-$142/$30 daily
• School aged
• -After school—$40/$9 daily
• Summer—$106/$23 daily
• Holiday/Early Dismissal with Lunch
• $20 daily
• Preschool
• 4 Year Old (MWF) - $108 monthly
• 3 Year Old (TTH) - $89 monthly
• Drop– in Rate - $7.00 per hour for four hours or less. Daily rate according to age over four   hours.
