About Hopedale Commons

The late Dr. Rossi Sr. envisioned a place where seniors could live in a safe and comfortable environment, with professional medical care and emergency services right next door. Hopedale House in 1965, with the additions of Hopedale Commons West in 1994 and Commons East in 1998, fulfilled this dream.

Why is Hopedale Commons one of the most respected and sought-after Communities in assisted and independent living?  It is the unique combination of 40 personalized services supported by our nursing home, access to HMC'S Midwest Vascular Institute, beautiful 34,000 sq. ft. Wellness Center and excellent personal physicians who are only a few steps away in our comprehensive hospital and 24-hour Emergency Room.

Residents and their families know their personal physicians are available seven days a week, if needed. Hopedale Commons has a wonderful caring staff that truly enjoys helping older people in a compassionate environment, 24 hours a day. In addition, residents enjoy private, spacious apartments; three home-style meals with home-baked desserts daily; assistance with bathing and dressing; medication reminders; personal transportation service to appointments at the Complex; and activities three times a day, including a daily exercise program 6 days a week, frequent bus trips, and on-site beauty shop.

Another important difference which sets Hopedale Commons apart is the variety of entertainment. Not only do our residents take part in community events such as the Fourth of July Parade, but many local groups such as the Central Illinois Banjos and the Olympia High School Madrigals will entertain at the Commons. Our eager and involved volunteers are always available for shopping trips, bingo and other one-on-one activities. Residents are also given individual birthday celebrations.

Additionally, short-term respite services are offered for families who need to be away from their loved ones for short periods of time.

We invite you to come and see for yourself why so many residents and families have already discovered that Hopedale Commons is the very best in assisted and independent living in Central Illinois.
