To be mailed a Campaign booklet (which can also be downloaded from the main page of our website), to learn more about the addition, or to make a gift, contact Jane Foffel at 309-449-4292 or jfoffel@hopdalemc.com.

General Endowments

Endowments are of critical importance in continuing the mission of the Hopedale Medical Complex.  Donations of any size are welcome.

The Hopedale Medical Complex is owned and operated by the Hopedale Medical Foundation, an Illinois, not-for-profit corporation. We are established to provide services without regard to race, color, creed, sexual orientation or ability to pay. HMC granted over $400,000 in charitable care last year as well as $70,000 in donations to local charities and our scholarship program.

The Hopedale Medical Foundation is a 501(c)(3), IRS recognized charitable organization. All charitable donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

If you would like to help with our mission, there are a number of different ways you can contribute. This section briefly describes a number of them:

  • Annual Giving and Unrestricted Gifts. Unrestricted gifts allow Hopedale Medical Complex to apply your donation to where the need is most critical.
  • Designated Gifts. This is an opportunity to donate to the area of the Hopedale Medical Complex that may have special meaning to you. Examples include: the scholarship fund, nursing home, or equipment.
  • Pledges. Pledges are lifetime gifts made over a number of years. We can help establish a regular schedule for you.
  • HMC Giving Tree. Celebrate the life of a friend, a special occasion in your family, or honor a loved one's memory by making a gift to our Giving Tree.  The tree is located in the Emergency entrance waiting area. Your specified name is added in the form of a gold leaf ($200 donation), an acorn ($1000 or more donation), an apple ($2000 or more donation) and a special plaque ($5000 or more donation).
  • Planned Giving: Stocks, Bonds, or Property. Hopedale Medical Complex can help you get the best advice on how to make a contribution of stocks, bonds, or property and get the appropriate income tax deduction. Contact the Chief Operating Officer at 309-449-4296.
  • Bequests Through a Will or Living Trust. This has become a popular way to provide significant, long-term support. We accept bequests of any size or type. A large bequest from the Elmer and Viola Hillman Estate helped HMC construct the new Hillman Nursing Home Pavilion addition in 2001.
  • Life Insurance. This is an opportunity to make a larger gift than you might have thought possible, and could generate substantial tax advantages.

If you would like to learn more about how giving can help you meet your financial goals, or if you have any questions, please contact the Chief Operating Officer at 309-449-4296. Gifts may also be made by credit card. We accept Discover, Master Card, or Visa.
