Our purpose in providing hospice care services is to support patients and families while enhancing quality of life in the patient's final days. Services are available at Hopedale Hospital, Hopedale Nursing Home, and Hopedale Commons. Services can also be provided in the patient's home.
In addition, Hopedale Medical Complex delivers compassionate and dignified care by providing clergy and counselors on staff.
Hopedale Hospice offers:
- RN on call 24-hours/day
- Certified Nurse's Assistant visits
- Beautiful and peaceful surroundings
- Private rooms (when available)
- Social Worker on-site
- Chaplain visits
- Access to Wellness Center for resident and family
- Massage Therapist
- All necessary medications
- All medical equipment necessary to take care of the patient
- Caregiver available through HMC
- All supplies related to the terminal illness available through HMC
- Pharmacy services
- Accommodations for overnight family visits
Hospice will also provide respite care for patients that need short-term care 24-hours/day who are already at home. In addition, hospice care can be provided for patients with cancer, failure-to-thrive, Alzheimer's disease/dementia, heart disease, liver disease, COPD, CVA-stroke, renal disease and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) to name a few.
Consultations are free and non-binding. Patients or family are encouraged to ask questions about whether hospice is right for them.
