At Hopedale Medical Complex, we often say 'healthcare and hope meet each and every day'. Hopedale Medical Complex (HMC) is owned by the not-for-profit corporation, the Hopedale Medical Foundation.

Out of humble beginnings over fifty years ago, Hopedale Medical Complex has become known for its blend of quality, compassionate healthcare and conveniences.

How We Started

In 1955, the Hopedale Medical Complex opened as a 20-bed hospital. To this day, nowhere in the United States can one find a setting as unique as Hopedale. We offer a wide variety of quality health services and physicians in a lovely country setting.

For the convenience of the elderly and handicapped, all services with the exception of surgery, are provided on one level.

Hopedale Hospital

Hopedale Hospital offers virtually the same amenities as larger urban hospitals. Our extensive services include:

• 24-hour Emergency Room
• Intensive Care Unit
• General and advanced vascular surgery
• Orthopedic surgery
• Plastic/reconstructive surgery
• Open MRI
• CT Scanner (capable of doing full body, heart scans, and virtual colonoscopy)

Hopedale Hospital maintains four satellite offices in Atlanta, Delavan, Manito, and Mackinaw. (See Office Locations)

Hopedale Commons

Hopedale Commons consists of 72 bright, spacious apartments in our independent and assisted living community.  We offer an exceptional lifestyle for our seniors with many conveniences.

The Commons is ideal for people who desire to live close to excellent medical care. Our campus gives residents access to an acute care hospital, physicians' offices, nursing home, and Wellness Center.

Hopedale Commons West is assisted living that offers 40 personalized services which are all-inclusive in each month's rent.  There are no long-term leases or contracts. Everyone pays by the month.

Hopedale Nursing Home

24-hour nursing care is provided in our 42 room licensed facility. Physically connected to Hopedale Hospital and to physicians' offices, healthcare is nearby and convenient for residents.

In the fall of 2001, a 26-room addition was added. The Hillman Pavilion addition, named in memory of Elmer and Viola Hillman, offers beautiful, private accommodations. At Hopedale Nursing Home, residents receive the care and the privacy they desire.

Hopedale Wellness Center

The Hopedale Wellness Center opened July 4, 2002. This spectacular facility rivals the health clubs and centers in any large community.

Hopedale Wellness Center offers:

• An indoor gymnasium with 2 basketball courts and volleyball court.
• A walking track.
• A 25 meter lap pool, therapy pool and spa.
• A fully equipped fitness center with cardio equipment and free weights.
• Private/family locker rooms.
• Babysitting service free to members.
• A conference room with multimedia capabilities.

The Wellness Center is staffed by experienced exercise physiologists, personal trainers, physical therapists, massage therapists, pain specialists (anesthesiologist), acupuncturists, and a physiatrist. We also have additional medical resources through our full Rehabilitation department. Plus, the Wellness Center offers a board certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in general and sports medicine.

The Wellness Center offers an extensive array of services and classes. Some include water aerobics, Joint Works aquatics therapy, yoga, Pilates, BodyPump, fitness boot camp, individual personal training, and child and adult karate.  Remember we offer complementary child care to members!

In addition, the Hopedale Sports Medicine department has grown into an important part of the Hopedale Wellness Center, offering preventative training. Our Rehabilitation department offers full-service therapy.
