BreakfastThe Hopedale Medical Center Food Service Director and Nutrition Director ensure that a delicious variety of nutritional meals are served daily.

Our Dietary Department consistently receives high marks for the tasteful menu and meals, served promptly and courteously.

What is a Dietitian?

A Registered Dietitian is a healthcare professional who provides nutrition therapy and preventative nutrition counseling. Licensed by the State of Illinois, our Dietitian can also do a complete assessment of your overall nutritional status and provide a personalized treatment plan.

Our Registered Dietitian helps:

  • Start a solid foundation for good health and wellness.
  • Improve food choices and habits.
  • Maintain current weight or aid in losing excess weight.
  • Select foods to control allergies or preferences such as vegetarian food choices.
  • Assist in reducing complications from conditions such as heart and kidney disease and diabetes.

Please ask your doctor for a referral for medical nutrition therapy from a Registered Dietitian. Many insurance companies include medical nutrition therapy in their plans.

Complimentary diet education is provided for one month after discharge for our patients.

Members of our Wellness Center receive their first counseling session free of charge.
