There are a wide variety of Massage Therapy types, including: Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, Prenatal, Reflex, and Hot Stone. Each is designed to help relieve the stress of a particular pain issue you may be experiencing or for overall stress relief.
Importance of Massage Therapy
In addition to relieving stress and encouraging relaxation, massage therapy is also used to help people manage chronic and acute pain, such as back pain or headaches. Massage therapy helps relieve sore muscles after exercise, improve blood circulation, and release endorphins to help create a happier, mental mood.
Included in Your Massage Session
Every massage is tailored to the individual's needs. Massage sessions may focus on a specific area such as the back; however, full body sessions that include massaging the scalp, face, neck, arms, shoulders, legs and back are most popular.
Hot Stone Massage
A Hot Stone massage is a popular way to relax, relieve stress, and loosen muscular tension. This ninety minute session features smooth basalt stones, heated in warm water, that are placed on large muscle groups. As the heat from the stones begins to relieve stress and tension, your massage begins. With the addition of aromatherapy oils, your relaxation is complete!
