Recipe of the Month - Fresh Veggie and Canadian Bacon Pizza with Homemade Crust You may now view and print the WC's Recipe of the Month online! This month's recipe comes to us from the American Heart Association. It combines a heart healthy crust with fresh tomatoes, mushrooms, zucchini, broccoli, onions and more! Click here for a printable version (pdf) of February's Recipe of the Month. One-week guest passes! We now offer an additional option for our guests, one week guest passes. In addition to our day passes, guests will now be able to purchase one-week passes for $15. Our guest policies still apply, meaning the pass does not include access to Kidz Klub or the pool. This is a great idea when you have family & friends in town for the holidays! Swim supplies for sale - HWC now has goggles, swim caps, nose clips and ear plugs for sale at the front desk. We have items for both children and adults. Please see the front desk for pricing details. About HWC In 2002, Hopedale Medical Complex added a state-of-the-art, 34,000 square foot, handicap accessible Wellness Center. Our impressive facility is not a traditional fitness center or health club. It combines a wide variety of fitness and rehab resources all under one roof. Taking care of ourselves should not be limited to the time that something is wrong. Being part of an established healthcare organization helps ensure our patients and members receive a full continuum of care. The Hopedale Wellness Center is also more than a small town fitness facility. It houses three therapy pools; cardiovascular equipment such as Star Trac and PreCor Treadmills, NuStep recumbent steppers, elliptical machines, and Star Trac upright and recumbent bike; strength training equipment; indoor walking/running track; gym used for basketball and volleyball; group exercise classes such as Yoga, muscle conditioning and Pilates; and weight management programs. All amenities are handicap accessible and available for all our members, residents, and patients. A membership at our Wellness Center extends beyond the usage of our equipment. Members receive three, one-hour personal fitness training sessions with a degreed exercise specialist, including a complete fitness assessment. Also, members receive a dietary consultation with a registered dietitian, access to weight management programs, availability of our Kidz Klub (supervised play area for children ages three months to 12 years available while you exercise), access to a health and fitness resource library and much more. The Hopedale Wellness Center offers rehabilitation services as well. We have land and aquatic physical therapy, acupuncture, nutritional counseling, cardiac rehab, speech therapy and more. Whether you are dealing with chronic pain or rehabilitating an injury, our experienced hospital staff will work diligently to ensure you receive the most up-to-date, personalized care. Our ultimate goal is to return you to your highest level of functioning as quickly as possible. No matter what your fitness level or goal is, we will be happy to assist you in any way we can.
